Valve will support changes in Major 2020 format

The creator of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Valve will support changes in Major format - one of the biggest FPS tournaments and not just Counter Strike. Starting in the second half of this year, the company will introduce a ranking that includes classifications for the tournament.

Valve confirms that the points for this ranking will be collected by ESL One Rio.

First major of 2020 scheduled for May
The Second Major will take place in November, and the place has not yet been announced.

There will be a total of 24 teams in the tournaments - 16 come from the ranking and eight will be on the way to classification. The prize at the moment is 250,000 USD

For Major in Rio de Janeiro, eight bands already have Legend status, due to their performances in the previous edition, and are participating in the rest of the competition: Astralis, ENCE,, 100 Thieves, Evil Geniuses and Team Liquid Vitality, Natus Vincere

G2 , MIBR , mouseports, , CR4ZY, North and FaZe Clan will fight for the place.
